Create clean and simple dotted name tracing sheets in just a few steps. Here’s everything you need to know:
Type or paste your students’ names into the Student Names box. Make sure to put one name per line. There’s a really handy batch function (great if you want to easily do a class worth) and each name you enter will get its own dedicated worksheet page!
Type a title into the Worksheet Title box (it defaults to “My name is”). This appears at the very top of the page.
Pick how many times you want the student’s name to appear on the page using the number buttons (from 1 to 8).
Note: The tool is smart! Choosing 1 to 3 repetitions will automatically generate a wider landscape worksheet allowing for a larger font size – great for your younder writers, while choosing 4 to 8 repetitions will create a portrait worksheet.
Want a neat line around the edge of the page? Leave the Page Border switch toggled on. If you prefer a completely clean edge, simply turn it off.
Use the color options to personalize your worksheets. This setting changes the color of the page border and the main title text.
Custom – lets you pick a single color for all the pages. Click the colored square to open the color picker, or type a hex code directly if you have a specific color in mind.
Rainbow – (Note: This option magically appears when you enter 7 or more names!) It automatically assigns a different pastel color to each page in your batch – brillaint if you want to effortlessly jazz things up a little!
Hit the Generate Worksheets button when you’re happy with your settings. Then click:
