I think you’ll really like this activity maker – I’ve tried to make it as simple as possible but so that it makes brilliant looking practice sheets! Here’s why I think it’s great:
It turns name practice into a small daily habit. One neat box per day leads to consistent practice without feeling overwhelming.
Make a whole class in seconds. You can just paste in a list of your students, choose a few settings and it’ll make a whole class worth of worksheets in a neat pdf.
Trace or write. Tracing supports early formation; writing mode gives kids a chance to try independently.
Classroom or home-friendly. You can choose between Monday to Friday or Monday to Sunday.
Early Readers Font – Every page uses our Early Readers font – which has been designed specifically to help young readers and writers.
Create custom daily name writing practice sheets in just a few steps. Here’s everything you need to know:
Type or paste your students’ names into the Student Names box. Make sure to put one name per line. The tool will automatically generate a full practice set for every name you enter!
Type a title into the Worksheet Title box. You can also add a helpful direction in the Instruction Line box right underneath it. You can turn these off if you don’t want them.
Pick how you’d like the daily boxes to appear on the page:
Portrait – stacks all the days neatly on a single page for each child.
Landscape – generates one large practice box per page, creating a multi-page packet for each child. This is great for little learners who still need to make those big movements!
Choose how many days of practice you want to include:
Mon – Fri – perfect for a standard school week of morning work.
Mon – Sun – great for a full week of daily practice at home.
Pick the best way for your little learners to practice:
Tracing – provides a guided, dotted version of their name to trace.
Writing – provides a blank writing line for independent practice as they grow more confident.
Use the color options to personalize your worksheets.
Rainbow – automatically assigns a different pastel color to each day of the week.
Custom – lets you pick a single color. Click the colored square to open the color picker, or type a hex code directly if you have a specific color in mind.
Hit the Generate Worksheets button when you’re happy with your settings. Then click:
Download Worksheets to save your printable PDF.
The file downloads instantly as a PDF, ready to print at home or at school.
Want to Make Another? Click Make Another to go back to the settings and create a new batch. Your previous settings are cleared so you can start fresh.
Hooray!
The printed name tracing worksheets should look something like this:
