This complete the insects cut and stick worksheet asks your little learners to snip out the missing squares and stick them into place to finish the four friendly bugs. A hands-on, print-and-go activity for preschool and kindergarten, it builds scissor skills, fine motor control, visual perception and some early problem solving as well!
Something has gone a little wonky in the bug world and your little learners will need to cut out and stick the correct pieces to put it right!
This cut and paste activity is easy to prepare (just print off and grab some scissors and glue) and can help your children develop those important fine motor and problem solving skills.
Although puzzles like this may seem simple to us, there’s actually a lot of skills that are needed to solve a puzzle like this.
Firstly, they’ll have to have decent cutting skills to be able to cut the pieces out neatly enough that they line up when completing the pictures (you may need to help them with this though if they find it tricky at first).
I’ve made a color and a black and white version in the pack.

What Skills Can Your Children Learn And Practice?
When using this minibeast puzzle worksheet, your children will have the chance to practice and develop skills such as:
- Fine motor skills – they will have to use a good pincer grip to pick up the halves and place them in the right place
- Hand-eye coordination – to ensure they can move and line them up neatly
- Cutting and sticking – they’ll need good cutting and sticking skills to carefully cut out the halves
- Pencil skills – if you use the black and white version, your children can practice and develop pencil control through coloring
