How To Use
Generate printable multiplication practice sheets in just a few clicks – here’s how to use it:
Step 1 – Enter a Title (Optional)
Type a title into the Worksheet Title field. If you leave it blank, the worksheet will be titled “Multiplication Practice” automatically.
Step 2 – Choose Your Problem Format
Select how you’d like the problems to appear on the page.
- Horizontal – problems read left to right, like 4 x 6 = ___. Great for quick practice and mental math.
- Vertical – problems are stacked in columns, like traditional written multiplication. Can be better for larger numbers where working is shown.
Step 3 – Set the Number of Problems
Pick from 10, 16, 20, 24, or 30 problems.
Step 4 – Choose a Difficulty
Select from four options.
- Basic (1-12) – covers the standard times tables range. The go-to for most early learners. Although if you specifically want times table practice, we’ve got a dedicated tool for that here!
- Double Digits (10-99) – two-digit by two-digit multiplication for more confident learners.
- Triple Digits (100-999) – larger numbers for a real challenge.
- Custom – choose your own minimum and maximum values.
Step 5 – Pick a Question Mode (Optional)
This option is only for Horizontal questions. There are three modes.
- Standard – every problem asks for the answer, like 4 x 6 = ___.
- Missing Factors – every problem has one factor hidden, like ___ x 6 = 24 or 4 x ___ = 24. Great for building algebraic thinking and deepening times tables fluency.
- Mixed Challenge – roughly half the problems are standard and half are missing factor, mixed randomly across the sheet. Keeps your little learners on their toes!
Step 6 – Set Your Options
- Name line – adds a Name: line at the top of the worksheet.
- Answer sheet – enables a separate answer sheet download.
Step 7 – Choose Your Colors
Click the color pickers to set a Border Color and a Title Color.
Step 8 – Generate and Download
Click Generate Worksheet. A preview will appear below showing the first few problems so you can check everything looks right before downloading.
- Click Download Worksheet to save the PDF.
- Click Download Answer Sheet if you enabled that option – it will appear as a second button.
- Click Make Another to reset the tool and start fresh.
