Looking for a way to improve those literacy skills? Then this cut and stick scrambled sentence worksheet creator is here to help!
Using this teaching tool, you’ll easily be able to create worksheets where your little learners will be challenged with scrambled sentences that they must reorder back into their coherent, grammatically correct structures.
Whether you’re making a sentence jumble or a phrase scramble, these worksheets will make building sentences a fun and effective way to learn literacy concepts and help develop those fine motor skills.
Great for boosting those early literacy skills – as your students work through sentence jumble challenges, they learn to identify key components of sentence structure, improving their reading comprehension and communication abilities.
Your little learners will need to cut and stick the words from the jumbled sentence in the correct order on the page.
Then there’s a space for them to have a go at writing the sentence as well!
Also, the worksheet uses our own ‘Early Readers’ font – which has been designed so that the letters are clear and easy to read!
If you wanted a writing only version, maybe better suited for older children, you can find another sentence scrambler here.

If you chose to have your students “Write Independently”, you can select how many writing lines appear on the page (1, 2, or 3 lines).
Punctuation Challenge – when this is turned on, the tool removes capital letters and end punctuation from the scrambled words at the bottom of the page. This adds an extra challenge, as children have to really think about sentence structure to figure out which word goes first and last!
Show Name Line – adds a name line at the top left of the worksheet so students can write their name before they start.
Answer Sheet – enables a separate answer sheet download alongside your worksheet. The answer key shows the fully punctuated sentence on the writing line and provides helpful cut-order numbers inside the boxes.
