The sun is shining, it’s time to pack a picnic and head out to parks and beaches, and if you have a little one, you know what that means – ice cream! Well this awesome ice cream number ordering game (1-10) would be a great addition to your collection of math games and activities. Can your children use their knowledge of number sequencing to put the scoops in the right order before they all melt?
This math printable is great for some hands-on learning and even better for all those little ice cream lovers out there!
And this game is pretty easy to prepare (just print off and cut up) and can help your children develop those important number recognition and sequencing skills.
When your children are using this summer activity, you can encourage them by asking some questions, such as “what number is on the scoop you just added?” and “which number scoop do you think you’ll need to find next?” – or if they really know their number order “what are the next two scoops that you’ll need?”
So why not grab this lovely little number game and help nurture their little mathematical minds?

How To Prepare This Ice Cream Number Ordering Game
This one’s pretty straight forward!
First you’re going to want to download the game by clicking on the button at the bottom of the page.
Once you’ve downloaded it, you’ll need to print it off onto paper or card.
You just need to cut out the ice cream cone and the scoops of ice cream with the numbers 1-10. Then just lay all the pieces out on the table or floor and see if your little learners can make a super ice cream with all the scoops in the right order!
I often laminate the pieces so that I can pull them out and use them again.
After that you’re all done!
Your children are ready to start developing their number recognition and ordering skills.
